Sewage Service

Garbage & Recycling

Garbage collection is included with your water and sewer services through the City of Canyon’s Street & Solid Waste Division. Residences receive twice-weekly trash pickup, with specific days varying by neighborhood—Hunsley Hills, Madison Park, and Gagestone on Wednesdays, and Spring Canyon on Thursdays. After holidays, pickup runs one day behind schedule. The city does not offer curbside recycling, but residents can use Southwest Landfill for free bulky item disposal (12 loads per year with proof of water bill). Private recycling is available through KB Recycling for an additional fee.

You'll need to complete a Customer Service Agreement & Application, provide valid ID, and pay a $100 refundable deposit plus a $10 non-refundable service charge. Applications can be submitted online or in person at City Hall at 301 16th Street.

Same-day activation is available for in-person applications completed at City Hall before 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Online applications do not qualify for same-day service and require additional processing time before activation.
