Sewage Service

Sewer service is bundled with water service and managed by the City of Killeen Water & Sewer Department. The department maintains over 800 miles of water and sewer mains throughout the city. To report sewer blockages or overflows, call 254-501-6500 or 254-501-6319.

Garbage & Recycling

The City of Killeen Solid Waste Department provides weekly garbage collection, included in your monthly utility bill. Collection days vary by location—use the city’s interactive map to find your scheduled day. Place containers curbside by 7:00 a.m. Standard service includes garbage, brush collection (up to 6 cubic yards), and yard waste (6 bag limit). Curbside recycling is not available, but free drop-off locations include the Killeen Recycling Center at 111 E. Avenue F. For questions, call 254-501-7785.

You'll need a picture ID (driver's license, military ID, passport, or alien registration card), proof of Social Security Number (SSN card, W2, paycheck, or tax return showing full SSN), and a lease or deed to the property.

A $90.00 deposit is required, plus a $25.00 processing fee added to your first bill. If you had 12 months of service with the City of Killeen with no late payments, you may qualify for a Good Credit Waiver.

Online signup is not available. You must complete a Residential Service Request and submit it in person or by email to [email protected]. For same-day service, requests must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. After-hours service is available for an additional fee.
