Garbage & Recycling

Trash collection is provided by City of Irving Solid Waste Services and is included with water service. Residents receive twice-weekly trash pickup and weekly recycling collection on designated days. Use the Solid Waste Services Pickup Schedule map at irvingtx.gov to find your collection days. For questions, call 972-721-8059.

You'll need a government-issued photo ID, proof of residency or ownership, your Social Security Number, and the complete service address including street suffix. If your mailing address differs from your service address, bring that information as well.

New residential customers pay a minimum $75 deposit. The amount may be higher based on payment history or prior account balances. Customers with 12 months of good standing on a previous Irving account may qualify for a deposit waiver.

For same-day service, complete your application and payment by 3 p.m. Otherwise, allow 1-3 business days to process requests. Any previous City of Irving utility accounts must be paid in full before establishing new service.
