WATER, SEWAGE & GARBAGE

Corpus Christi Water (CCW) is the municipal utility providing water service to residents throughout the Corpus Christi area, serving nearly 500,000 people across a seven-county region. New customers can set up service online, by phone at 361-826-2489, or in person at City Hall located at 1201 Leopard Street. Service typically begins within two business days of application.

Sewage Service

Wastewater and sewer service in Corpus Christi is provided by Corpus Christi Water (CCW) and is billed together with water service through the Utility Billing Office. Residents do not need to submit a separate application—the same utility service application covers both water and wastewater services automatically.

Garbage & Recycling

Solid Waste Services handles trash and recycling collection in Corpus Christi, with charges included on your City utility bill. Trash is collected weekly using brown or green carts, while recycling is picked up every other week in blue carts. Carts must be curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day. Heavy brush and bulky items are collected twice yearly. Blue cart recycling accepts paper, cardboard, plastics #1, #2, and #5, and metals—but not glass. For recycling glass or additional drop-off needs, visit the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station or Republic Services on Agnes Street. Contact 311 for service questions.

Complete the Utility Service Application online at docs.cctexas.com/Forms/UBOServices, call 311 (or 361-826-2489 from outside city limits), or visit City Hall at 1201 Leopard Street. Service typically starts within two business days of application approval.

Renters need a lease agreement showing the service address, commencement date, and signatures from both landlord and tenant. Property owners can be verified through Nueces County Appraisal District records, though additional documentation may be requested if verification isn't possible.

A deposit may be required if you choose not to provide a Social Security Number on your application. Providing an SSN is optional, but declining to do so will result in a deposit requirement. Contact the Utility Billing Office at 361-826-2489 for specific deposit amounts.
