Garbage & Recycling

Solid waste collection is included on the City of Denison utility bill. Residential garbage is collected weekly using a 95-gallon cart placed curbside by 6:30 am. The city is divided into 5 routes—use the Trash and Recycle Interactive Map on the city website to find your collection day. Recycling is provided through Republic Services every other week. Bulk collection occurs six times per year in February, April, June, August, October, and December. A Residential Collection Station at 300 W FM 84 is available for resident drop-offs.

Complete a New Service Application online at denisontx.gov/FormCenter or in-person at City Hall, 300 W Main. Allow at least 2 business days notice. In-office requests must be made Monday through Friday between 8 am and 3 pm. Online applications are available 24/7.

A deposit is required to establish water service. The specific residential deposit amount is not published online, so contact the utility office at 903-465-2720, option 1, for current deposit information and any additional payment requirements.

You must submit a completed New Service Application. Additional documents and payments may be required depending on your situation. If any required items are missing, your new service may be delayed until all documentation is provided.
