Garbage & Recycling

The City of Fort Worth Environmental Services Department handles solid waste collection. Garbage and recycling are collected weekly, Monday through Friday. You'll need to provide your name, phone number, Social Security number, and driver's license number. You should also have the current property owner's name and, if available, the previous owner or tenant's name.

Fort Worth residents benefit from Texas’s deregulated electricity market, which allows consumers to choose their own electricity provider rather than being assigned to a single utility. This competition among retail electric providers gives households the ability to compare plans and select options that fit their usage patterns and preferences. With rates and plan structures varying significantly across providers, understanding the local market can help residents make informed decisions.
