Sewage charges automatically appear on your monthly utility bill alongside water charges—no separate signup is required.

Garbage & Recycling

The City of Killeen Solid Waste Department provides weekly garbage collection, included with your water utility billing. The city is divided into four zones with collection days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. Use the interactive map at killeentexas.gov/SolidWaste to find your collection day. Service includes one roll-out container, weekly brush collection up to 6 cubic yards, and yard waste pickup with a 6-bag limit. Recycling is drop-off only at locations including 3201 S. WS Young Drive and 2906 E. Rancier Avenue.

You'll need picture identification for each account holder (driver's license, military ID, passport, or alien registration card), proof of Social Security Number (SSN card, W-2, tax return, or paycheck showing full SSN), and a copy of your lease or deed to the property.

The deposit is $90.00, plus a $25.00 processing fee added to your first bill. If you had 12 months of prior service with the City of Killeen with no late payments, you may qualify for a Good Credit Waiver. The deposit is refundable after 12 months of good payment history.

Online signup is not available for new accounts. You must complete a Residential Service Request form and submit it in person at the Utility Collections office or email it to [email protected] with required documents. For same-day service, submit requests by 12:00 p.m.
