Sewage Service

Sewer service is provided by the City of San Angelo Water Utilities and appears on your monthly municipal services statement alongside water charges. No separate signup is required—sewer service is automatically established when you set up water service. The city’s Water Reclamation division handles all wastewater treatment.

Garbage & Recycling

Republic Services handles garbage collection under contract with the city. Trash is collected weekly, while recycling and bulk trash pickup alternate every other week. You'll need a valid government-issued photo ID, proof of residence (lease agreement or closing documents), a completed Residential Application form, and a completed Utility Services Acknowledgment & Right to Access form. Forms are available online, but new customers must visit the office in person to finalize setup.

The minimum deposit is $100 plus a $20 activation fee. Your deposit amount may vary based on your credit history with the Water Utilities Department. Deposits are refunded after four years if you maintain a record of no delinquent payments.

Connections are scheduled for next-day service after completing paperwork and payment by 10 AM. Standard connection times are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. After-hours connections are available Monday through Friday for an additional $50 fee.
