Sewage Service

Wastewater and sewer service is automatically bundled with City of Sherman water service. When you establish water service, wastewater is included at no additional setup cost. The standard $50 installation fee covers water, wastewater, and residential trash service together for most single-unit residences.

Garbage & Recycling

City of Sherman Solid Waste Services provides weekly curbside trash collection Monday through Friday, with your specific day determined by address. Residents receive a free 100-gallon cart and must place it curbside by 7:00 AM on collection day. Free monthly bulk waste and brush pickup is available during the first four Mondays of each month. Curbside recycling is not available, but drop-off single-stream recycling is offered at the East Street Collection Facility. Trash service is required for all residences with water service.

You'll need a valid driver's license or state-issued ID, plus documentation showing your lease agreement or property purchase. Commercial customers must also provide a Certificate of Occupancy before service can be established.

No deposit is required for single-unit residential properties within city limits. Commercial accounts, multi-unit residential properties, and accounts outside city limits require deposits based on meter size. A $50 installation fee applies to most single-unit residences.
